The Distance I thought I had you I always knew you were by my side I never realized how distant You had become from me How the foundation of our friendship Had weakened How did it all happen? What's the cause? Did I move first or You did? I've always leaned on you You're filled with Great Wisdom You gave a different  definition  to my life Transforming me wholly You made me Me You granted me the highest Protection  from my foes And fought all my battles You've shown me the love I'll never ever get from anyone Even during our temporary separation I shared my hurts and pain With you You listened You said I never bothered you With my numerous problems So Now Why the distance? Who moved first? You or I ? I think I did! Please take me back Hold nothing against me Forgive me I'm back for real Never will I depart from you But I need your help To stay- Forever.

Stand-by "Honey, I need this", "Sweetie, can you get me that?",  "Darling, could you please accompany me here?" "Sugar, you are so wonderful" Every minute, every second, Honey this! Darling, that! Ooh, oh, so when do I get to be the 'friend', I'm always standing in for someone, I'm always a stand-by. When the 'friend' hurts or betrays her, That's when I become of some importance, That's when I'm seen as a 'friend', A 'friend' for a second. Once the problem is solved, Our friendship goes back as old, And I go back to being the stand-by. I'm always cleaning up another's mess, Nursing the wounds inflicted by another. I'm almost hurt But thanks to God For being the best friend I could ever have, For giving me friends  To erase all this hurt, Friends to treat me as 'friend'. They Think They are always correct in their judgment They think! They always keep permanent perception of you, Spreading that perception to the world, Creating either lovers or haters for you. They have the ability to attract the majority Or the minority for or against you. They can sometime be destiny killers or destiny boosters. They can bring family and friends closer Or can even turn them away. People like this come our way during our journey through life To keep us on track, So never be scared or get frightened, When they come around. Always portray to those around you The true you, the perfect image of God. How you fall does not matter But how you gather the efforts to pick yourself And move on Is what matters.
